1.2 smyl media takes privacy seriously. The elicitation of your data happens within the scope the statutory provisions. You can inform yourself comprehensively of these at www.datenschutz.de.

1.3 smyl media will use your personal data solely to enable you to use the Internet services of Translate.net requiring registration. smyl media will neither forward your personal data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes, nor share them otherwise.

2. Registration data

2.1 At the registration we must collect and process certain personal data of the users as registration data, so that the services of Translate.net can work. This is firstly the following data:

- First name
- Sex
- E-mail address
- User name
- Password

If you decide for a fee required service, there are still further details required, such as your accounting connection for direct debit.

2.2 smyl media will not give this data to third parties neither to note nor otherwise.

3. Voluntary information

After registration, you can, for example, give further information under the heading "My Profile" and "My Data & Options" on a voluntary basis, which allows other members to get to know you better and to select you as an appropriate contact.

4. Disclosure of the information to other users

Under the heading "Privacy" you can choose which of the various data shall be disclosed to other users and non-members.

5. Cookies

5.1 After your sign-in (with user name and password) smyl media uses cookies. A cookie will be stored on your computer. After the end of the session, the cookie expires automatically.

5.2 Cookies are small text files used by many millions of websites to identify regular visitors. Cookies at Translate.net do not contain any personal information about the user, but only a classification number, which has no meaning beyond the services of Translate.net. With these cookies Translate.net can analyze how you use the web sites. Translate.net can then attune contents of the sites exactly with your requirements. In addition, with the cookies Translate.net is enabled to measure the effectiveness of a particular ad and to control its placement accordingly, so it happens e.g. depending on the thematic interests of the users.

6. Log files

6.1 Each time a user accesses a page of Translate.net or a file, data about this process will be saved in a log file. The storage is used exclusively for internal system related and statistical purposes. Specifically, for every access the following data will be stored:

- your IP address (by which your computer can be distinctly identified);
- the remote host (name and IP address of the computer requesting the page)
- the time, the status, the amount of transferred data, as well as the web page from which you came (referrer), and
- the product and version information of the used browser (user agent).

A purge of these raw statistics happens after 90 days.

6.2 This way smyl media can e.g. know on which days and at what times the services of the web sites are most popular and what amount of data is generated on these. Furthermore, smyl media can detect possible errors through the log files, e.g. faulty links or bugs, and use the log files for the further development of the sites. smyl media does not link the saved page views and usages in the server log with individual people.

7. Newsletter

If you wish to receive the newsletter supplied on the web page, smyl media requires an email address and information, which allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address, or it's owner agrees with the receipt of the newsletter. Further data will not be collected.

Your approval of the storage of the data, the e-mail address, or the usage of them for receiving the newsletter can be revoked at any time.

8. Changes of data protection regulations

smyl media reserves the right to change this data protection regulations at any time. smyl media will inform you about all changes to this data protection regulations by smyl media via e-mail to the address you declared within the registration.

9. Retrievability of the data protection regulations

You can access and print these data protection regulations from every page of the web sites under the link "data protection regulations".

10. Right to information
